![]() I have edited the quote below from the original to use my path for MassEffect, to save you the time when you retype your own path. There is not really any integration except for there being a steam overlay. Steam essentially boots origin in a special mode where it disables the store (I assume due to steam policy, which is common for digital storefronts). This means chat, screenshots, in-game browsing, and steam controller (and maybe even non-steam game or origin-in-steam method) will work as per every other native steam game. Since it boots the game through origin, it doesnt use your steam friends list. Ensure that 'Origin in game' is disabled in Origins settings and then exit Origin, go to your Mass Effect: Andromeda shorcut you just created in your steam library and click it, this will open Origin and you can use the Origin client to launch the game and the overlay will pop up as soon as it launches. Was able to get the Steam overlay working in ME3. Right-click the game title > Game Properties > Tick the check box for 'Disable Origin In Game for this game'. Clear the check box for 'Enable the Steam Overlay While in-game'. Right-click the game title > Properties > General. You can now Shift-Tab or use the Controller button to get to the overlay, and there is correct controller support in-game. Mass Effect 3 Steam Overlay tony8669 10 years ago 1 Oh man, thank goodness this works. Turn off the in-game overlay (problem affects Mass Effect 1 and 2) Steam. It may work with Origin and store versions too. ![]() Any power info from the radial menu and the bottom options on the dialouge wheel are both obscured and its super annoying. I did this with the steam version of Mass Effect on a Windows 10 machine. Ive recently just finished my playthrough of 1 and 2 without an issue as the same shepherd but for some reason mass effect 3 is too big for my screen. The solution most people come to is to run steam as admin, but this can screw around with other games and also it was preventing my shared family libraries from working correctly. The problem is that Mass Effect wants to run as admin, but this then screws around with the Steam side of things. But it is also known to have a negative effect on performance. Just posting here a working solution as of to get both the Steam Overlay and Steam Controller working with Mass Effect. The in-game overlay feature allows you to access certain features while playing games.
